SAT EXAM, April 9, 2019

The SAT will be given (FREE of charge) to all members of the junior class on Tuesday, April 9th.   Seniors who wish to use this day to work on scholarship applications, or to research post-secondary activity, should use this form for an excused absence. 

ART SHOWCASE 2019

Art Showcase 2019 will be open for just two more weekends, April 18th through the 20th and April 25th through the 27th. Come to the beautiful Baltimore County Arts Guild gallery between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to view dozens of spectacular pieces in this thoughtfully curated show. The Arts Guild Gallery is located at 1101 Maiden Choice Lane, in Arbutus, catty-corner from the Weis Market.

The show is free and open to all, so stop by Thursday, Friday, or Saturday to celebrate the arts and artists of Catonsville High School.

AP EXAM INFO

Students who are taking Advanced Placement courses will be taking the AP exam(s) in May. Registration forms are due to Mrs. McMillian either before or after school in room 203, by Monday, March 25, 2019. Information can be found on Schoology, provided that your student has joined the group entitled, “AP Exam Info 18-19.” If you have any questions regarding the AP Exams, please contact Mrs. McMillian at 667-251-1802.

SENIOR EXAM SCHEDULE

Monday, May 20th:  1B-Final Exam; 2B-Final Exam; 3B-Class; 4B-Class

Tuesday, May 21st: 1A- Final Exam; 2A-Final Exam; 3A-Class; 4A-Class

Wednesday, May 22nd: 1B-Class; 2B-Class; 3B-Final Exam; 4B-Final Exam

Thursday, May 23rd:  1A-Class; 2A-Class; 3A-Final Exam; 4A-Final Exam

Notes:  Class periods are not extended. Students are expected to attend all 4 periods each day, unless they have an approved/excused early dismissal or late arrival.  Make-up exams will occur on Friday, May 24th (B Day) as arranged by student and teacher.

2019 YOUTH LEADERSHIP FORUM at TOWSON UNIVERSITY

High school juniors and seniors with disabilities are invited to participate in the 2019 Youth Leadership Forum at Towson University, June 19-22, 2019.  The Leadership Forum was initiated in 1992 by the California’s Governor’s Committee on Employment of Disabled Persons.  Maryland held its first Youth Leadership Forum in August 2000.

Selection criteria includes:

  • Must be in their final two years of high school
  • Accomplishments in leadership potential
  • Academic Achievement
  • Community Service
  • Participation in school and community activities
