Student Services Summer Information:
We are excited to announce that starting July 1st our School Counseling Department Chair, Brittany Watkins, will be a 12 month employee.

Mrs. Watkins will be available throughout the summer to answer questions and offer academic advisement for the upcoming school year. Please call the Student Services Office 410-887-0809 to make an appointment with Mrs. Watkins.

Please fill out the schedule correction form if you believe there is an error in your child’s course requests or schedule. Please note that change requests for electives will not be considered.

CHS Spotlight – Celebrating Our Success                  
Adrian Sims named winner of Young Composer Project

Catonsville High School sophomore Adrian Sims was recently named a winner in the Young Composers Project sponsored by the Maryland Music Educators Association.  Adrian’s composition, “Circus Danse”, received a superior rating in the Music: Creating category of the National Core Arts Standards for high school students.  In addition, the judges selected “Circus Danse” for performance at the Maryland Music Educators Association Fall Conference in October.  

WackCongratulations to Diane Wack, lifelong swimmer 
Ms. Wack successfully completed the 4.4 mile swim across the bay on Sunday June 12th, during The Great Chesapeake Bay Swim supporting the Maryland chapter of the March of Dimes.  Go Miss Wack!

Ms. O'Dell Receives National Recognition

Ms. O'Dell has been selected as an NEH (National Endowment for the Humanities) Summer Scholar.  Read about it here.

Annual Baltimore County Art Show at Goucher College
Congratulations to seniors Cara Felts, Leo Gehrman and Lucy Irwin for winning top honors at the 30th Annual Baltimore County Art Show at Goucher College. Cara and Leo won Honorable Mentions for the digital and sculpture pieces. Lucy portrait won the Best Painting in Show award for her portrait of Ronald. 

CHS Awarded in County's 2016 Clean Green 15 Program
Led by County Executive Kevin Kamenetz and the BCPS Education Foundation, CHS was awarded for marshaling the most volunteers to help clean up the school and community during the year.

CHS Freshmen appointed to the MD Assn of Student Councils
Lucas Gorlin-Tarbell was recently appointed to the Maryland Association of Student Councils as the Central Division Liaison.  Way to go Lucas!

National Merit Scholarship Winner
