Rising Scholars Program

CHS has started a program for minority juniors and seniors called the "Rising Scholars." These students are college-bound or have college potential and are identified on the basis of grades, PSAT scores, and teacher recommendations.

The program is an initiative of the School Improvement Team Minority Achievement Committee, the CHS administration, and Mr. Charles Priddee, cpriddee@bcps.org, Minority Outreach Counselor.

The program hopes to increase the changes  of admission to a two or four-year college for these students and assists them and their parents with navigating the college application and financial aid maze.

Tutoring by U.M.B.C. Meyerhoff Scholars is also available for these students.
