All student writers deserve a reader!

Peer tutors at The Bev Hickman Writing Center are available to assist students of all abilities and levels, from standard to AP, with any piece of writing—not just papers with “problems.”  The Writing Center tutors are seniors enrolled in a humanities internship at CHS; they are trained to assist with prewriting, drafting, revising, and editing.  Let a peer tutor help you brainstorm for your college application essay, draft your Social Studies paper, revise your English PBA, or polish your résumé!

NOTE:  Although tutors can assist students with the writing process, tutors cannot write assignments for students, comment on grades, or proofread papers.  Tutors will, however, offer tips to help students do their own proofreading.  Overall, Writing Center tutors seek to help students become better writers through conversations about writing that involve both the tutor and the student.
