Math Academy

Catonsville High School

Baltimore County Public School students recommended to take Algebra 1 in Grade 9 during the school year and are in need of additional time and support to develop or maintain algebra readiness skills.  Seats are limited.  Enrollment is on a first come basis.

Students participate in a research-based blended learning mathematics program designed to meet the specific needs of individual students. Each day will include four hours of mathematics instruction in which students participate in whole-class, small group, and individual learning opportunities designed to develop students’ mindset, confidence, and beliefs about doing mathematics as they strengthen their understanding of key concepts and skills from prior grades to build their readiness for algebra.
